Carlo Tresca (1879-1943), was an Italian-born anarchist, who emigrated to the United States in 1904. He was a labor organizer, including with the Industrial Workers of the World, a journalist, and editor, notably of Il Proletario, the official newspaper of the Italian Socialist Federation, and of Il Martello, an anti-fascist newspaper.
